This is one of the angels Bernini sculpted for the entrance to Castle d'Angelo (The Angel Castle). Gian Lorenzo Bernini was one of the greatest sculptors of the 17th century.
"This painting was inspired by the instructor of a seminar I was going to take. The background is done with my fingers. The angel is painted by brush with a wash of rays in yellow and white. My challenge was to paint a sculpture while bringing color and life to it." -Cherie
